(Mama of two, Professional Fashion Designer, Owner of Love,Kaki, Sewing/Design Teacher & The Creator Behind Mama Sew Tired.
I started my love for fashion at a young age and learned to sew at 6 years old. I studied Fashion Design at The London College of Fashion and Drexel University. I mastered not only the art and design side of the fashion world but also the technical and business end. After designing for multiple large fashion companies (Oscar de la Renta, Anthropologie, Carole Hochman to name a few), I decided to start my own ethical fashion label all made in the USA- Love, Kaki. It is a small batch, slow fashion brand focusing on ethical production, American made, high quality garments with a versatile end use to fit and flatter women’s bodies. Just like this course, my garments were designed to make women feel confident and empowered.
During covid I had to pause my production in NYC due to safety and decided to start teaching all ages how to sew, design, & crochet. It's been my most rewarding job yet sharing my passion and seeing others thrive. I hope I can inspire you to unlock your creative hidden potential.
Mama Sew Tired was created as my open space to teach sewing and design online in the hopes to inspire/empower others to want to learn how to sew, mend & make beautiful things, no matter how tired life gets. As a busy mama (and a passionate designer), I get it – time is precious, but sewing is a wonderful way to unwind, be creative, and create something amazing with your own hands.- Also a great way to save money and our planet!
