Hi, I'm Amber

AKA-Mama Sew Tired 🧵✨
(mama of two, professional fashion designer, and the creator behind this guide)

I’ve been sewing since I was 6 years old, and I went on to study Fashion Design at the London College of Fashion and Drexel University. I’ve worked with brands like Oscar de la Renta, Anthropologie, and Carole Hochman, and later created my own ethical fashion label, Love, Kaki—focused on high-quality, American-made pieces designed to help women feel confident and empowered.

But here’s something you might not expect…

Even with all of that, I still remember what it felt like to sit down at a sewing machine alone and feel completely overwhelmed.

Not knowing where to start.
Second-guessing everything.
Wondering if I was doing it “wrong.”

And I don’t want you to feel that way.

I wish I had a simple, clear system like this when I was starting out—something that walked me through exactly what to do without all the confusion and frustration.

That’s why I created this guide and system.

During COVID, I paused my production in NYC and after having my babies I started teaching sewing, design, and crochet—and it quickly became the most rewarding work I’ve ever done. Helping beginners go from overwhelmed to confident lit something in me.

Mama Sew Tired was created as a space to make sewing feel simple, approachable, and doable—no matter how busy or tired life gets.

Because as a mom and designer, I truly get it:
Time is limited. Energy is low. And starting something new can feel like a lot.

But sewing doesn’t have to be overwhelming.

It can be calming, creative, and empowering
a way to make something beautiful with your own two hands, build confidence, and even save money (and help the planet along the way).

And I’m so excited to help you get started 💛

What my students are saying...

Look at what Bethany achieved!
She started with zero sewing skills — and now she’s confidently creating her own patterns and designs.

Easy, Relaxed, and Beginner-Friendly
Master the basics on your schedule — and keep these skills for life!

As a passionate designer, mama, teacher, and sewer, I’m not focused on being perfect — I’m focused on growing a little better every day.

The sewing skills you’ll learn in this course don’t just build confidence with fabric and thread — they boost your belief in what you’re capable of.

It’s a true joy to watch my students thrive and gain confidence after each lesson.

"Believe in yourself and let your creativity flow. Confidence is the key to unlocking your potential."
